The Honeydrippers – Sea Of Love / I Get A Thrill

Year/Genre: 1984  Blues
Matrix #: 7-99701 (Specialty pressing)
Condition: VG+
Description: The Honeydrippers were a short-lived project led by Robert Plant after Led Zeppelin’s breakup, with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck making guest appearances. Their single Sea of Love—a Phil Phillips cover—became a surprise U.S. Top 10 hit in 1984, giving Plant his highest-charting post-Zeppelin release. Paired with I Get a Thrill on this 45, the record reflects the 1980s revival of 1950s R&B, and Plant’s tribute to the music that first inspired him. A collectible artifact tying classic rock icons back to early American rhythm and blues.
