Description:
Originally formed in England by ex-Family members Roger Chapman and Charlie Whitney, Streetwalkers moved their gritty blues-rock hybrid across to Scorpio Sound in London and produced Vicious But Fair in early 1977. With fierce vocals, raw guitar riffs, and a swagger born of mid-70s hard rock, tracks like “Mama Was Mad” and “Dice Man” showcase the group’s intense chemistry. This album captures a band pushing against the rising tide of punk, offering a sophisticated yet hard-edged sound that bridges blues-rock roots and classic rock melodicism—making it an essential piece for collectors interested in transitional UK rock of the era.
