Description: After Johnny Cash left Sun for Columbia in 1958, Sun issued this 1960 LP compiled from earlier Memphis sessions with the Tennessee Two. Despite the title, only a few songs are actually Hank Williams compositions; the rest are early Sun sides that show Cash’s developing boom-chicka-boom style. It was a savvy label move to ride Cash’s rising fame while pointing back to his Sun-era roots.
