1. Recorded Deep in the Woods: U.F.O.F. was recorded in June 2018 at Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, Washington, a secluded studio surrounded by forest. The band tracked live together in one big room, and some songs were written only hours before they were recorded.
2. It Has a Desert Twin: Days after finishing in Washington, the band headed to Sonic Ranch in the Chihuahuan Desert of Texas to make Two Hands. It came out just five months later and was billed as the "earth twin" to U.F.O.F.
3. The F Stands for Friend: The title is short for "UFO Friend," from the lyrics of the title track. Two songs, "From" and "Terminal Paradise," first appeared in different form on Adrianne Lenker's 2018 solo album Abysskiss.
