Trick Babys – Last Chance Man B/W The Hideout
Title: Demolition Doll Rods - We’re the Doll Rods
Year/Genre/Sub-Genre/City: 1994, Garage Punk, Glam Punk/Detroit Garage Rock, Detroit, Michigan 6/26
Matrix #: WO 1.5
Condition: EX LM | Members: Dan K (65' - ), Margaret D (N/A), Christine D (N/A)
Cultural Facts:
- Scene Ecology Demolition Doll Rods came out of Detroit’s raw garage-rock world, carrying the city’s Stooges/MC5 damage into a trashy, stripped-down 90s punk form.
- Band History Dan Kroha had already been in The Gories, making the Doll Rods feel like a next mutation of Detroit garage rock rather than a retro revival act.
- Collector Lore We’re the Doll Rods is an early small-label 7-inch, the kind of primitive first-wave release that garage-punk collectors chase because it captures the band before the bigger indie-label albums.
