The Vogues – My Special Angel / I Keep It Hid

Year/Genre: 1968 / oldies

Description: Hailing from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, The Vogues were known for their tight harmonies and polished vocal pop. This 1968 single features “My Special Angel,” a nostalgic love song that marked the tail end of the pre-psychedelic pop era. Its lush orchestration and romantic sincerity represent a cultural moment just before the pop landscape shifted toward rock and social commentary. This Terre Haute pressing captures the group's clean, radio-ready style, making it a sentimental collectible from the close of a more innocent pop era.
