Ned Miller – From A Jack To A King

Year/Genre: 1957 Country
Matrix #: Fabor – 114
Condition: VG, looks scuffed, plays good.

Description: Born in Rains, Utah, Ned Miller was a key figure in early country-pop crossover. “From A Jack to a King” originally saw modest success in 1957 but gained major popularity in its 1962 reissue, eventually charting internationally. This original pressing predates that breakthrough and captures the rawer, more regional sound of country’s pre-Nashville era. The B-side, “Parade of Broken Hearts,” complements the A-side’s gambling metaphor with classic heartbreak storytelling. A valuable piece for fans of early country’s shift into mainstream pop consciousness.
