1. His First Posthumous Studio Album: The Cry of Love was assembled after Hendrix's death from tracks he had been building at Electric Lady for a double LP sometimes called First Rays of the New Rising Sun. Eddie Kramer and Mitch Mitchell finished the mixes.
2. Electric Lady Was His Dream Room: Hendrix poured money into Electric Lady Studios on 8th Street so he could stop watching the clock at other rooms. Freedom, Drifting, and Ezy Ryder on this album come from that new home base.
3. Angel Was for His Mother: The ballad Angel was written about a dream visit from his late mother Lucille. He had been carrying the song for years before cutting the take that landed here.
