Frijid Pink – House Of The Rising Sun

Year/Genre: 1970 Psychedelic Rock
Matrix #: 45‑PAR‑341
Condition: VG+  has some scuff marks, Plays though Clean

Exploding from Detroit with a raw, fuzz‑heavy take on a traditional folk standard, this single captures Frijid Pink at their gritty peak. Their psychedelic rock rendition of "House of the Rising Sun" surged to the Top 10 internationally in 1970, fueled by Gary Ray Thompson’s distorted guitar and Richard Stevers’s thunderous drums. Born from an impromptu recording session, the track became a cultural lightning‑rod, earning Gold status and proving the band could challenge the era’s major acts. A prime example of late‑’60s hard rock, this 45 is a must for collectors chasing that soulful, garage‑infused energy.
