Self-produced and largely performed solo, the album embraced early synthesizers and experimental studio techniques, signaling a new wave influence that predated many '80s electronic pop trends. Though polarizing at the time, tracks like “Coming Up” and “Temporary Secretary” have since been reassessed as innovative, foreshadowing the lo-fi and synthpop aesthetics that would dominate later in the decade. A bold reinvention from one of rock’s most famous songwriters.
Price Suggestions based on Matrix #:
NM: $25–$30
VG+: $18–$22
VG: $12–$15

9/21/24 EK 2/4/25 sc 7/31/25 sc
