The title came from Doug Ingle slurring “In the Garden of Eden,” written down phonetically by drummer Ron Bushy.
Reported to have sold around eight million copies in its first year and among the first RIAA platinum LPs.
Sits well next to Blue Cheer, Vanilla Fudge, early Deep Purple, and other heavy late-’60s psych records.
