Cultural Facts:
This live collection features performances from 1968–1970 across cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Detroit, Boston and Copenhagen.
The album’s title is drawn from the lyric of “When the Music’s Over,” connecting it to the band’s darker, theatrical live phase.
On this release, the band included a cover of Van Morrison’s “Gloria” and Willie Dixon’s “Little Red Rooster,” the latter featuring guest harmonica by John Sebastian of The Lovin’ Spoonful.
Issued by Elektra Records in October 1983, this was the band’s second official live album and was later discontinued in 1991 after the double-album “In Concert” absorbed its material.
