1. Stang was Sylvia & Joe Robinson’s Englewood, NJ label; the same crew later launched Sugar Hill Records.

2. “Not On The Outside” broke in late ’68; about 500k sold and it crossed onto both R&B and pop charts.

3. The lineup churned fast—Joe fired everyone but John Morgan, rebuilding around Al Goodman & Billy Brown.

4. In 1978 they left and lost the “Moments” name (owned by the Robinsons), rebranding as Ray, Goodman & Brown—same lane as The Delfonics/Stylistics.
