2. Cut at Rudy Van Gelder’s Englewood Cliffs studio with an orchestra including Elvin Jones, Ron Carter, Johnny Coles, and Jimmy Knepper. 

3. Evans developed this project after his orchestral collaborations with Miles Davis, extending the arranged large-ensemble ideas of those Columbia albums.
