Description: Issued in 1981 between the Pretenders’ first and second full-length albums, Extended Play collected studio tracks and a live cut recorded in Los Angeles. Coming out of London’s late-1970s club circuit, the Pretenders had quickly gained a reputation for blending punk urgency with melodic pop craft. This EP offered fans material unavailable on the LPs at the time, giving a snapshot of the band’s early development before lineup changes and tragedy reshaped their trajectory.
